Approach

At the core of the studio’s philosophy lies the belief that architecture begins on-site, with a felt relationship to the surroundings, people and place. Atmosphere, space, proportion, connections, light and materials are not afterthoughts — they form the foundation.

The Studio

Jim Brunnestom STUDIO is an architectural practice based between Malmö and Copenhagen, rooted in the Danish design tradition and shaped by studies at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Architecture, as well as years of experience at leading offices in Copenhagen and independent projects across Scandinavia.

The practice is independently run by Jim. His background includes architecture, formal training in construction engineering, practical experience as a craftsman and exhibition builder, and years of independent artistic work and collaborations — experiences that inform the studio’s understanding of materials, atmosphere and the process of making.
